Good Night

There are times in life that one has got to step forward and be brave, even when it may seem that it is not the thing to do.

Today was a day of risk taking and it was amazing how walking through fears and difficult situations  has helped me to feel all warm, fuzzy, and comfortable inside.

Tonight:

I will sleep well knowing that I took an important step forward breaking out of old routines and starting new ones.

My dreams will be healing, clearing, and will help me to create more self love and acceptance for me from me!

Good Night

What forward moving steps have you taken that will allow you healing dreams tonight?

Peace, love, light and blessings

What stops us from taking risks so that we can learn, change and grow?

  • Fear of rejection
  • Need for approval
  • Need to avoid guilt
  • Need to always be right
  • Need to know all the “in’s and out’s” of a situation
  • Need for certainty
  • Lack of belief in yourself and others
  • Fear of being incompetent
  • Desire to avoid conflict
  • Unresolved anger
  • Poor role modeling in family of origin
  • Fear of failure
  • Unwillingness to face problems honestly
  • Lack of assertiveness in protection of your own rights
  • Inability to take the responsibility for your own life
  • Unwillingness to accept possible negative consequences
  • Preferring to be unhappy, mired in your problem
  • Playing it safe
  • A need for security
  • Fear of hurting others
  • Rationalizing the lack of need for direct action
  • Denial that a problem exists and that action needs to be taken
  • Projecting the need for action onto others
  • Intellectualizing about a problem to avoid action
  • Exempting yourself of responsibility to resolve a problem
  • Relying on others to resolve your problems
  • Alcohol or drug abuse “clouding” thinking
  • Over-emotional response to a problem
  • Humoring yourself and others to ignore the problem
  • Over concern for everybody but yourself
  • Fear of pain (“no pain, no gain”)
  • Absence of desire to change
  • Irrational belief that it is impossible to change the situation
  • A disregard for the rights of yourself and others
  • Confusion about your role in handling the problem
  • Lack of ownership of the problem
  • Over-sentimentality for the needs of others
  • Enjoying the sympathy you receive from others for the problem you face
  • Inability to let go of an old belief in a person or institution
  • A belief that life should always be fair

Now that’s a pretty huge list, however, can you think of any other reasons that stop you from taking the risks you need to take to move you forward in life?

Peace, love, light and blessings!

Taking risks can be scary business!

I have learned that everything I learn, everything I do and everything I become conscious of for the first time in my life requires me to take the risk to change and grow.  I can choose to remain the same, or I can choose to deal with the risk and become  who I truly am in this moment.

Peace, love, light and blessings to all of us who choose to take risks and grow!
