The very first thing I noticed when I began learning Reiki, was my breathing. Soon as the Reiki was on my breathing would become more calm and relaxed. Breath work helps to bring breath awareness and breathing techniques for enhancing the human, physical, emotional, and spiritual condition. Breath work is a way to open ourselves more fully to our spirit.Breath work releases repressed emotional issues from the cellular level, relieves stress, anxiety, fear issues, and blocked energies. The health benefits alone are worth the effort to expand the capacity of the lungs and increase oxygen absorption, improving energy and physical well being. As a part time practitioner I have days where I work on up to 6-8 people a day, there is no time for me to go have a massage later, I use a lot of breath work, to keep me grounded and to clear away tiredness or pain.
